The basics

Trekking in the desert is a unique and beautiful experience. To make the most of this experience it is best to be prepared and have the right gear and equipment.

Here are some key general points regarding the treks we are organizing:

– Be in good physical shape
– Used to walking several hours a day
– Have medical insurance
– Have a valid passport, with at least 6 months of validity

You must be able to walk at least 6 to 8 hours/day, with different gradients (max. 800m) and on variable terrain.

During the hikes, you will only need to carry your day pack, with everything you will need for the day. When camping, the rest of the gear, and also our food and water, will be carried by a separate vehicle to our next camp site.
Most treks include sleeping 4 to 8 days outside, either in a tent or with just a sleeping bag.

It does not include the flight and entry visas.
